Strengthening Idaho communities by transforming essential housing and neighborhoods into safe, dignified, and accessible places where families and individuals can find stability and opportunity.
Idaho Homes & Communities Foundation strengthens Idaho communities by improving the safety, accessibility, quality, dignity, and sustainability of essential housing, shelter, and community environments through charitable rehabilitation, preservation, accessibility, and community improvement projects. We work to help individuals, families, seniors, people with disabilities, and communities in need by addressing physical barriers, safety concerns, deteriorating conditions, and other challenges that limit access to safe, functional, and welcoming places to live and gather. Through partnerships, community collaboration, and the coordination and support of charitable projects and resources, the Foundation brings together individuals, organizations, businesses, volunteers, and service providers to help identify needs, develop solutions, and advance meaningful improvements throughout Idaho.
We work to make Idaho communities safer, more accessible, and stronger—one project at a time.
We identify needs within essential housing, shelters, and community environments and bring together the people, organizations, businesses, volunteers, and resources needed to address them. Rather than simply providing funding or performing the work ourselves, IHC serves as a connector, coordinator, and catalyst for charitable improvement projects that create meaningful, lasting benefits for Idaho communities.
Our work may include coordinating and supporting projects that improve the safety and accessibility of homes, shelters, parks, public spaces, and community facilities. Projects can range from housing rehabilitation and preservation, ramps and handrails, accessibility improvements, walkway and entryway safety, repairs to nonprofit facilities, community beautification, and other improvements that help people live, gather, and participate in their communities safely and with dignity.
We place particular emphasis on helping individuals and families in need, seniors, people with disabilities, people experiencing housing instability, residents of underserved communities, and organizations serving vulnerable populations.
Through community partnerships, charitable resources, volunteers, and skilled service providers, IHC helps turn identified needs into actionable projects. Our goal is simple: to help create safer homes, more accessible spaces, stronger communities, and a better quality of life for people throughout Idaho.
